How we started
Four Nomads NPC is more than a non-profit: it is a promise to the young people across South Africa who have been overlooked for far too long.
Born from a deep connection to South Africa and a shared belief that “where a child is born should never determine how far they can go”, Four Nomads was founded by four friends with over 20 years of friendship and more than 30 years of combined professional experience across business and community development.
Having lived and witnessed the realities of rural and underserved communities — the untapped potential, the lack of opportunity, and the quiet resilience of young people — we felt a deep responsibility to empower young people through our own experiences. Today that responsibility has become a mission: to walk alongside South Africa’s youth, starting in Limpopo where our roots run deepest, as they turn potential into progress.
Why we exist
We have lived these realities. Now we are changing them.
Having witnessed the untapped potential and quiet resilience of young people in rural and underserved communities, we built Four Nomads to make sure the next generation of South African leaders are not defined geographically.
Through career guidance, job readiness training, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable access to water at schools, we equip young people not just with skills, but with confidence and a real chance at a better future. When you empower one young person, you uplift a family, strengthen a community and begin to shift a generation.
Our primary beneficiaries are Grade 9–12 learners and young people from rural and underserved communities, many of whom will be the first in their family to finish school, study further or enter formal work.
Strategy
Rooted in Limpopo. Built for South Africa.
In collaboration with local schools, we are rolling out to 100 schools, adding around 20 schools each year. Working closely with principals, educators, parents and community leaders, we work with schools in clusters, which keeps delivery costs low and builds lasting trust.
By Year 5, at least 30 of our 100 partner schools will run career guidance in their own annual calendars, without external facilitation.

Under the Amended B-BBEE Codes of Good Practice, Socio-Economic Development is Element 5 of the Generic Scorecard, with a compliance target of 1% of Net Profit After Tax.
Four Nomads’ beneficiaries are young people in rural and underserved schools. Where at least 75% of beneficiaries are Black South Africans, 100% of the value of your monetary or qualifying in-kind contribution is recognised as SED spend on your scorecard.
Every Rand is ring-fenced to your designation and tracked to learner level, so your verification agency, board and CSI committee get evidence, not just a receipt.

Who is Four Nomads NPC?
Four Nomads NPC is a registered non-profit company (Reg. 2022/514801/08) and a SARS-approved Public Benefit Organisation (PBO No. 930086019) with Section 18A status. It was founded by four friends and is led by a board of four co-founding directors.
Who do you work with?
Grade 9 to 12 learners in rural and underserved communities, starting in Limpopo, together with their teachers, parents and caregivers. Our skills pathways also support school leavers, unemployed youth, aspiring entrepreneurs and Black-owned SMMEs.
What programmes do you run?
Three initiatives that form one pipeline: career guidance and pathway planning from Grade 9; skills pathways (learnerships, apprenticeships, internships, entrepreneurship and accredited training); and school infrastructure: water, sanitation, solar power and ICT labs.
Are donations to Four Nomads tax-deductible?
Yes. Four Nomads NPC is approved under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act, so qualifying donations are tax-deductible, subject to the limits set out in the Act. Use the form on this page to request your Section 18A receipt.
Can my company earn B-BBEE points by partnering with you?
Four Nomads NPC is a qualifying B-BBEE Socio-Economic Development (SED) beneficiary organisation. Corporate partners receive a B-BBEE SED letter for qualifying contributions, and we also partner on skills development and CSI programmes.
Where do you work, and how big is the plan?
We start in Limpopo, with offices in Louis Trichardt (Limpopo) and Centurion (Gauteng). Our five-year goal is 100 partner schools and 30,000 Grade 9 to 12 learners, adding around 20 schools each year.
How can I volunteer or get involved?

How Four Nomads NPC collects, uses and safeguards personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013.
What we collect
Only what we need: contact details you submit through our forms, company and tax details needed for Section 18A receipts and B-BBEE documentation, and learner information collected with parental or guardian consent for programme tracking.
How we use it
To respond to enquiries, issue receipts and documentation, run and monitor programmes, and share news only with people who have asked for it. We never sell personal information. We share it only where the law requires, for example Section 18A reporting to SARS, or with service providers who work for us under a written agreement.
How long we keep it
Website enquiries: 24 months from our last contact. Tax and Section 18A records: five years, as tax law requires. Company records: seven years. Learner records: for the tracking cycle plus three years. After that, information is deleted or destroyed securely.
Children
We work with learners under 18. We collect a child's personal information only with the consent of a parent or guardian, using our learner consent form. Learners under 18 should ask a parent or guardian to contact us on their behalf.
Cookies and website data
This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it loads nothing from other companies' servers: even the fonts are served from our own site. Your browser remembers one setting while the tab is open (that the opening animation has played), and it is cleared when you close the tab. Links to Instagram and LinkedIn take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Security
Forms are sent over a secure (https) connection and emailed to our mailbox. They are not stored on the web server. Access to personal information is limited to the people who need it.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its processing, by emailing info@fournomads.org. Our PAIA Manual and POPIA request forms are available from the Information Officer on request. To request records under PAIA you can also use the Information Regulator's PAIA forms. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) through its eServices portal.
